The Docktors

Docktor Dan

Hi there, my name is Daniel Nies.  Having grown up in Minnesota's "Lake Country" my entire life, I am no stranger to the water or to installing and maintaining docks and lifts.  I have seen just about every dock ever made as I spent every spring installing docks and every autumn removing them again (Minnesota winters do not allow them to be in the water year-round).  Growing up fortunate enough to have a beautiful lake in my back yard, I have fond memories of waking up to the crisp lake air in the morning and ending each evening around a fire listening to the Loons call out to each other across the glassy reflection.  These are some of my most cherished memories and I'd love to help others find their own.  I have come to know and trust a few companies who build particularly exceptional docks and lifts that both stand out and hold up to the most extreme conditions and abuse.  Now, living in Northern Colorado with my wife and two sons, I work as a school teacher during the colder months and as a Lake Docktor during the warmer months.  I am very excited to help you build upon your slice of heaven and take your living and entertainment space onto the water!  Thank you for considering The Lake Docktors.

Docktor Quin

A life-long resident of Colorado, I have built a solid reputation for myself as one of Colorado's most trusted contractors.  Having been approached routinely by people looking for help with their expanding water-front needs, the call to sell, fabricate, install and maintain docks and lifts has grown steadily to a point where putting a dedicated focus to those very needs became a necessity. As a result, Lake Docktors was born.  From my earliest years growing up, I have been building and designing things for use in and on the water.  This includes "Brave-Boat", a floating death-trap made out of milk-jugs, plywood and 47 pounds of nails.  Several decades older, I now have over 15 years of professional experience in helping people meet their outdoor water needs and have had the opportunity to see a vast array of shorelines all with different challenges.  I am confident that whatever you need, Lake Docktors can deliver.
